DIY Baby Wash Using KoKo’s Liquid Castile Soap

If you’re a parent who loves natural skincare, this DIY is for you!
Our Sensitive Skin Liquid Castile Soap is fragrance-free, gentle, and made without harsh chemicals — making it the perfect base for a simple, safe, and customizable baby wash.

Whether you want something unscented or lightly scented with calming botanicals, this recipe lets you create a wash that fits your baby’s needs.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup KoKo’s Liquid Castile Soap
(Sensitive Skin for fragrance-free or Lavender for a calming cleanse)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin (optional — adds moisture and softness)
  • 1–3 drops lavender or chamomile essential oil (optional — avoid if baby is under 3 months)
  • 3/4 cup – 1 cup distilled water (More water = thinner, gentler wash)

How to Make It

  1. Add the Castile Soap to a clean mixing container.
  2. Pour in the distilled water and stir gently to combine.
  3. Add vegetable glycerin (optional).
  4. Add essential oils (optional — use sparingly for babies).
  5. Pour into a pump or squeeze bottle for easy use.
  6. Use within 2–3 weeks for best freshness.

This gentle formula is perfect for delicate skin — with no sulfates, dyes, parabens, or synthetic fragrances.

📝 Notes for Parents

  • Keep away from the eyes. This baby wash is not tear-proof.
(Fun fact: commercial baby washes are only tear-proof because of chemical additives that numb the eyes!)
  • Always patch-test new products on your baby’s arm or leg.
  • For extra hydration after bath time, follow with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
