Refund policy

Returns and Exchanges

We can accept returns or exchanges on (select) unused items that are returned to us in new condition and with any labeling and packaging. Please email us (hello@kokobeautyessentials.com) prior so we can help start the process. You can also visit our Return Portal to request a return or exchange on qualified items. Please note, any final sale items will not show up as an option to return on the portal, and if there is a glitch in the system where they do appear, our team will review and only process a return for accepted items. Please read the entire Returns and Exchanges Policy for acceptable items.

Unfortunately, and without exception, we cannot accept returns on opened or used goods. Our products are handmade in small batches to ensure quality, freshness, and consistency. If the product has been opened and used (i.e. dipping finger in to grab lotion, or applying perfume oil onto skin), the product can't be returned as safety and bacteria control has been altered.

We understand that each person has a unique preference for scents and textures. However, as a small business, we cannot offer returns or exchanges for a dislike of scents, textures, or colors. For many of our products, we offer samples (minis) or smaller sizes. If this is your first time shopping with us, try a smaller size of a product to see if you enjoy the scent, texture, or color.

Please ensure to review ingredient lists (provided on each product page) for any possible allergens before ordering. Please perform a patch test before using any of our products. If you have purchased multiple products, we recommend introducing each one gradually and one at a time into your skincare routine. If you experience any reactions, please discontinue use for at least a week before performing another patch test and trying to use the product again.

Variations in viscosity, scent, or color are possible. This can vary from batch to batch, and even per season as differences in the weather and temperature can affect the products (i.e. body butter melting in the summer). If your body butter or whipped buttercream arrives in a melted or liquid state, place it upright in a cool room or the fridge until it solidifies.

Product Returns or Exchanges Must Be:

  • New Condition (unused, full bottle)
  • Returned to us within 14 days of the package delivery date 
  • Purchased directly through our website or an event where we were a vendor. We cannot make exchanges or returns if you purchased our products from a local retailer or third party seller
  • If you are requesting a refund, we will process it as soon as the item is received by us. Refunds are made for the item itself, shipping costs are non refundable.
  • If you are requesting a refund on an item purchased on sale or at a discount, you will receive the discounted/sale price as a refund
  • If you are requesting an exchange on an item purchased on sale or at a discount, it must be an exchange of the same item (but different fragrance for example) or of equal or lesser price
  • We offer a flat rate return shipping fee of $4.99 (our standard shipping)

Products we cannot offer an Exchange or Refund for:

  • Sample sizes (minis) for example of perfume or cologne oils
  • Our water-based products (due to safety concerns): liquid soaps, whipped buttercreams, face masks, and body washes
  • Clearance, "Misfit" or other Final Sale Items

Replacements:

We try our best to be 100% accurate when prepping and sending out orders, however, sometimes there are mixups (we're human!). We will send out a replacement at no cost to you if:
- We shipped you the wrong item(s)
- We forgot to include an item from your order
